Today we began to discuss how we can get our church adoption fund off the ground. Our desire is not just to raise money to help make you a part of our family, but also to help others like us. So many have a desire and willingness to adopt, but do not have the means to do it. Mom and I are praying about how to move forward and when. We want to know that we are in God's will and timing. Our prayer is that God will show us clearly as we take small steps of faith toward you. A friend of ours that is adopting said that she had no money to pay for the adoption when she signed her contract, submitted her application, and fee. After this small step of faith, all of the money has come in. We are praying that God will do the same for us.
I have begun to pray that God will begin to soften your heart toward Him and us. I know that you may come with a lot of baggage. Some of these things will not be easy. We know that Philippians is correct when it says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Our prayer is that each day God puts another piece of our puzzle in its place.
